Organisms and Cells

Introduction

An organism consits of 1 or more cells. The cells of the organism must be connected (touching) each other. Each organism as a single genetic program. Each cell is a processor with registers and a stack. Each cell executes a different part of the genetic program.

When an organism reproduces, the offspring will inherit the genetic program (plus any mutations) and will begin executing the genetic program at the first instruction.

The genetic program consists of instructions for moving about, eating, looking, growing and reproducing. There are also instructions for communicating between cells and simple math operations on registers.
