About Photon Systems Ltd.

Photon Systems Ltd. was started around 1990 as a small consulting company. The two founders, George and Bruce, did contracting to the Oil & Gas industry. In the span of four years, Photon grew to a medium size software company with over forty employees. Photon had developed one of the most successful selling Seismic interpretation packages around. That software package remains successful today.

The button shown on the right was a marketing toy that was given out during shows and conferences. The optimistic "...and TOMORROW" has been crossed out and used as the logo for the Ex-Photon club.

You see, Photon's days were numbered. She had grown too fast and like some cosmic entity that begins small and quickly expands, eventually it has to contract. In the summer of 1995, because of financial problems, Photon was sold to a competitor.

Like particles expelled from a collapsing star, the Employees of Photon began to disperse. To prevent further entropy, the Ex-Photon website was created.
